Dr. Baez is a compassionate and dedicated physician specialized in Adult Psychiatry. She believes in empowering the human soul while applying evidence-based medicine for sustainable changes in the patient’s lives to be effective and long lasting. Dr. Baez is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction and has a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry. Her experience in Addiction Medicine and Ambulatory Detoxification give her patients an opportunity for long term recovery.
Dr. Baez received her medical doctorate degree (M. D.) from the Dominican Republic in 1990. She completed her Psychiatric Residency Training at Wake Forest University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She completed a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Miami.
Dr. Baez is a Medical Review Officer (MRO), and has qualifications as a Substance Abuse Professional for the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Dr. Baez has been in private practice in Broward County since 1999. She served as Medical Director for the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department of the Memorial Healthcare System from 2005 to 2013. She is also a Consultant Psychiatrist for the Department of Health (DOH), the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN) and the Physician Resource Network (PRN).
